Would a water-resistant phone become a non-water resistant after replacement of the LCD?

Hi there,
I have the concern that the water-resistant phone might become non-water resistant after repair, since we have remove the original sealant
in order to remove the LCD screen.
So would a water-resistant phone become a non-water resistant after replacement of the LCD?

You'd better replace new sealant, after repalce LCD.
