iPad blank screen

I was wondering whether you could help me. I have an iPad 2 that was dropped a few weeks ago and the screen cracked. I purchased a new touch screen and LED display and managed to replace both without any problems. #Unfortunately, during the replacement process, I forgot to connect the Wi-Fi antenna, so I opened the device again and connected the antenna. Since then, the iPad 2 switches itself on, and works, but I can see nothing on the display. I tried re-connecting the screen, re-seating the cables, etc., with no success. iTunes recognizes the device, and I can even hear the sound it makes when you plug it in, but nothing on screen. The display itself powers on, infact I can see it illuminated, and it even changes brightness during the boot-up process, even though the Apple logo is not displayed. After taking a backup, I also tried reinstalling firmware, resetting the device, etc. but still no joy. Could I really have damaged the main board during the Wi-Fi antenna connection? Are there any other options to look for in this case please?

Black or Blank Screen on iPad problems often occur if you operate your device under extreme temperature conditions (like being too hot or too cold)
  • If too hot, just place your device in a cool area for several hours to let your device to cool down
  • And if too cold, put your iDevice in a warm area (but not hot) for several hours to allow it to warm up.  Using an iOS device in frigid conditions outside of its operating range might temporarily shorten battery life and could cause the device to turn off.  Battery life will return to normal when you bring the device back to higher ambient temperatures
  • Try and always use your iOS devices where the ambient temperature is between 0º and 35º C (32º to 95º F)
