Strange problem on iphone 7.

Hello,
Quick question... i have a iphone 7.. Had broken screen. Ordered a new one, Tested without homebutton -> ok. Did all following procedure. Mounted home button from old phone. Test, no boot black screen. Tested with old display -> ok. Is it possible that a faulty home button can blowup a screen?
